Join the program directors from four of our legacy centers (Esalen, Hollyhock, Kripalu & Omega) for an interactive conversation about how living through this pandemic has affected our centers, our thinking, and the possibility of re-imagining what programming could look like going forward. This session will include two parts.
In the first hour, become an active participant in our "fishbowl" conversation as together we explore and discuss:
What is essential in this moment for our work?
What are possibilities for our 2020 / 2021 approach to Programming?
What is the purpose behind our choices of what to program in the new now?
If programming is an expression of each of our missions - how might programming be evolving? And does that impact our mission and direction in any way?
What identities are we shedding, and what might we be adding?
In the second hour we have invited two teachers who have taught at our centers, Rev. angel Kyodo williams Sensai and Charles Eisenstein, and who have generously offered to share their time with us. As the online world is growing exponentially, and teachers are starting to develop their own communities outside of centers, we have asked them to share their thoughts about the role of the retreat center, how we might create value for them, and the type of online programming they are currently offering.
At the end of their sharing there will be time for Q&A.
