Kim Gilbey brings almost 20 years of experience in the areas of organizational and leadership development, culture change, strategic management and implementation, innovation strategy, and integrated marketing strategy. She is driven by a deep curiosity of market dynamics and organizational patterns, and a passion for helping people and organizations navigate their context and actualize their mission. Kim has completed organizational development, strategy, and leadership/team development projects in organizations of all sizes and provides leadership and strategy coaching for academic administrators, non-profit directors, and corporate executives. Prior to consulting and coaching full-time, she was on the faculty of a private, comprehensive university in Salt Lake City, UT and holds a doctorate in Marketing Strategy, with allied studies in Cultural Anthropology and Consumer Behavior. Together with her husband, Terence Gilbey, Kim arrived at the Esalen Institute 4 years ago, where she has had the privilege to immerse in the challenging and deeply fulfilling world of holistic centers. She has supported Esalen’s strategy initiative; conducted over 80 in-depth interviews with Esalen faculty, donors, board members, and staff; visited over 20 holistic centers worldwide; and served as a faculty for Esalen’s 28-day Residential Study program, where she taught her course, The Inner Journey to Authentic Leadership.
